so...Hello 2007!

i am not a big fan of resolutions. never have been. but there is a lady in my office that has a pretty cool idea. she has 2 jars, and 365 colored stones. so on January 1st, all of the stones are in jar #1, and jar #2 is empty. each morning when she comes to work, she takes a stone from jar #1 and places it on her desk...and all day when she sees the stone, it reminds her to make today better than yesterday. then at the end of the day, she puts the stone in jar #2. at the end of the year, jar #2 is full of stones that represent thoughtful, intentional days.

i think it's a great idea. the goal is not specific expectations that you may or may not meet. for her, if she is thoughtful about what she is doing, and how she is spending her time...it's been a good day. i like it.

in other news, i am saving money to go see my friend Pamela in Africa. so if you have extra money...my plane ticket is a good cause. =)
